Sruthy Kuruvilla - Security Manager and Business Owner

A business owner and safety and security leader, Sruthy Kuruvilla serves as a U.S. security manager at McDonald’s Corporation. A former police officer in New York and Georgia, Sruthy Kuruvilla has worked in the corporate security industry for over a decade.

Mr. Kuruvilla joined McDonald’s Corporation in 2018. He oversees corporate security policies and procedures, develops security programs, and communicates critical security developments to the appropriate personnel. His other roles in the security field include serving as chief of safety and security at the Atlanta Retailers Association from 2014 to 2016 and as corporate director of safety and security at Legacy Ventures from 2016 to 2018.

A graduate of Buffalo State College with a master’s degree in criminal justice, Mr. Kuruvilla joined law enforcement in 2007. After one year with the NYPD, he moved to a law enforcement agency in Georgia, where he worked for five years. He started as a police officer and advanced to master patrol officer, police supervisor, and finally corporal of the criminal investigation division. Among his achievements, he won the Police Officer of the Year award in 2010. In addition to his current work at McDonald’s Corporation, Mr. Kuruvilla is the owner of Kiddie Academy, an educational childcare center in Georgia.
